Goran Arsov
Physics teacher, winemaker, programmer — and a perpetual beginner at something.
I'm Goran. A physics teacher by training; for eight+ years a Ruby on Rails programmer; by temperament, someone who has to try making the thing himself. Wine, bread, cheese, a good argument about politics — it's all the same itch. This is the place where I write the arguments down. The blog is called "The universe, and everything else." That about covers the range. Our fantasies is the "everything else."
Things I've put on the internet
The flight recorder for your scripts, cron jobs, and 2 a.m. AI coding sessions. Fresh Jots catches every line your tools quietly spit out, emails you the moment one goes suspiciously silent, and timestamps the whole log so nobody can argue about when you wrote what. Plain text, yours to keep.
The honest referee for Facebook and Instagram giveaways. Pick a Winner reaches into a mountain of comments, draws a winner nobody can accuse you of rigging, and hands you a public, verifiable receipt to prove it. Small contests are free; the cousin who always wins is politely not invited.
Where Macedonian shops, suppliers, and distributors finally stop doing business in a Viber chat. Komercio is a proper B2B marketplace — company profiles, product catalogs, and orders that live somewhere you can actually find them, with prices out in the open. Купувај паметно: shop smart.
One hammer, a hundred nails. CalcHammer is a toolbox of free calculators — mortgages, BMI, concrete, even the ABV of your home-brew — each one showing its working, so you're not just trusting a magic number. No sign-up, no email wall; punch it in and go.
The workshop, with the sawdust left in. Everything above started as a repository here, next to the experiments that never shipped and a commit history that's honest about how late some nights ran. If you want to see how it's actually built, this is the door.
Me, in a collared shirt. The tidy, chronological version — titles, dates, the professional handshake — for recruiters and collaborators who want the story without the winemaking tangents. Connect if that's your scene.
That's me, more or less. I think I am a normal male human being. — Goran
